[Event Information] Saturday, May 2: Wild Plant Foraging Experience (Takagi Furusato-kan)

An "Edible Wild Plant Foraging Experience (with cooking and meal)" will be held in Uda City, set in the spring satoyama.

This is an experiential event where participants can learn about the characteristics, identification methods, and practical wisdom of seasonal wild plants while actually picking them in the natural environment unique to Uda, which has long been known as a "village of medicinal herbs."

The venue is "Takagi Furusato-kan," surrounded by idyllic scenery. Mr. Nagahama, a wild plant specialist who clearly conveys knowledge about the natural environment and plants, will be invited as an instructor. Participants will experience wild plants up close through a fieldwork format with his explanations.

Participants will not only pick wild plants, but also find them with their own eyes, harvest them, and eat them.
Through this series of experiences, they will feel a deep connection with nature.
Wild plants nurtured in the ever-changing seasonal landscapes each possess their own individuality and life force.
By harvesting and tasting them with their own hands, they may once again appreciate the food they usually eat without much thought and the abundance around them.
We will provide a special and memorable time to experience the blessings of nature with all five senses.

The event will be held on May 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a capacity of 15 people on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 6,000 yen for adults and 3,000 yen for children (elementary school students in 3rd grade and above). Children in 2nd grade and below are free if accompanied by a guardian. In case of rain, the content will be changed to indoor lectures, etc., so you can participate with peace of mind regardless of the weather. Applications are accepted via Instagram DM, phone, and email. This event is full of Uda's unique charms, allowing you to enjoy learning and dining while experiencing spring nature.
